About the event
On the last workshops, people will let their creative loose to reconstruct a Catrina attire that represents their personal style and that represent a part of where they come from. Each person will be guided to make a dress, skirt, suit, or a blouse out of clothes they already have, someone gifted or donated to them, thrifting, or even use a combination of fabrics and recycling material. They well be guided in using a variety of materials like, fabric, cut pieces of clothes no longer used, strings, flowers, personal decorations, etc.
They would have the opportunity to present their creation as part of the Catrinas Rising parade in October 24, if they choose to do so.
Both sessions are recommended!
