About the event
As we move along these workshops, people will continue to deepen in the Catrina's world and continue the exploration a bit more about their own history. Each person will be guided to create their own version of La Catrina or Catrin's flower crown or sombrero.
For the flower crown, people will play with different materials like artificial or paper flowers, feathers, etc.
For the sombrero, people will trace their head size on a large piece of cardboard, cut it and glue it. Right after, they will begin to cover it and decorate it with a variety of materials like, fabric, paper, strings, flowers, personal decorations, etc.
They would have the opportunity to present their creation as part of the Catrinas Rising parade in October 24, if they choose to do so.
Both sessions are recommended, but not required.
